Simeon Stoyanov was born in Bulgaria and grew up in a family of musicians. After completing his Bachelor in music performance at the National Music Conservatory, he decided to continue his education and pursue a professional music career in the U.S. Mr. Stoyanov earned a Masters Degree from Central Michigan University, an Artist Diploma from Duqesne University and is currently working towards his Doctorate in Music Performance at Michigan State University. He is also appointed second trombone in Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Saginaw-Bay Symphony Orchestra as well as maintaining an active freelance carrier in the greater Lansing area. Mr. Stoyanov was awarded a first place from the Frank Smith Solo Trombone competition held at the International Trombone Association Conference and an Outstanding Soloist Certificate at the 2004 Chicago Elmhurst Jazz Festival.
