John Endahl is the associate conductor of the Lansing Concert Band. John holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan. Mr. Endahl taught instrumental music in the West Iron County, Iron Mountain, and Williamston school districts, and was an active member in the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association. While at the University of Michigan, Mr. Endahl studied French Horn with noted horn professor Louis Stout. He was also active with Kappa Kappa Psi, the national honorary band service fraternity. He studied conducting with Robert Peters and Dr. Elizabeth A. H. Green at U of M.
As a horn player, Mr. Endahl has served as the section leader in the Lansing Concert Band horn section for the past 18 years. He has been a featured soloist with the band, and is a member of the brass quintet, the Barons of Brass, and other local ensembles.
