The Aging Studies curriculum focuses on knowledge of physical,
mental, and social aspects of aging. Students are introduced to
the aging process, social institutions and policies, programs
and services, and providing direct services to older persons and
their families. This is the first certificate in an enhanced
human services career pathway. Courses are aligned with the
Council for Standards in Human Service Education and their
Community Support Skills Standards (www.cshse.org).
Core principles from the Association for Gerontology in Higher
Education serve as a guideline for course work. |

GERO seminars are graded on a pass/fail graded (credit/no

example, those who are part-time, have transferred in courses
