This certificate program is intended for
individuals who are currently employed in the automotive repair
industry. Students are trained specifically in the area of
alternative fuels and are prepared to take the State of Michigan
Mechanics Certification Tests to become automotive technicians
through the Secretary of State. State certification tests are
available at the end of fall and spring semester in the LCC
Automotive Program Office. The Automotive Technology Program is
a National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF)
Certified Training Program, evaluated by the National Institute
for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). The Automotive
Technology Program is also a member of the National Alternative
Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC). |
