This program prepares individuals to work in the automotive
field as a technician. Students learn all aspects of automobile
repair, diagnosis and maintenance. This program prepares the
individual to take the State of Michigan Mechanics Certification
Tests and become a licensed automotive technician through the
Secretary of State. State certification tests are available at
the end of fall and spring semester in the LCC Automotive
Program Office. The Automotive Technology Program is a National
Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) Certified
Training Program, evaluated by the National Institute for
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Not all courses in this
program transfer to all colleges. Students planning to
transfer should see an academic advisor or counselor before
enrolling in any course. |
