Graduates of this program are qualified to work as a paraprofessional in most
areas of accounting, such as financial reporting, cost accounting,
governmental accounting, tax preparation and auditing. Typically the
paraprofessional works under the supervision of a professional accountant, but
may be doing essentially the same types of work. Job titles include full-
charge bookkeeper, tax preparer, and internal auditor, among others. Not all
courses in this program transfer to all colleges. Students planning to
transfer should see an academic advisor or counselor before enrolling in any
course.
