Curriculum Code: 0857  (Effective Fall 2000 - Summer 2005)

This certificate of achievement is designed for students who hold a post
secondary degree (A.A., B.A., B.F.A., or M.F.A.) in the visual arts and wish to
acquire or enhance their computer graphics skills to prepare for employment in
the animation and multimedia fields.

1.    It is recommended that all students entering this curriculum have computer
      experience in both Windows NT and Macintosh Operating Systems. This
      experience may come from life or work experience, or other studies, as
      well as CABS 100 Seminars - Introduction to Windows NT and Introduction to
      the Macintosh. Students should consult with an advisor in the Art, Design
      and Multimedia Program if they are not sure about their computer skill
2.    Students in this curriculum may be granted approval to waive the
      prerequisites for this course by contacting an advisor in the Art, Design
      and Multimedia Program.
3.    For graduation, a student must have earned a minimum grade point of 2.0 in
      all courses with an ARTS prefix.

Students should see course descriptions to find out when departments plan to
offer courses. Students who for any reason are unable to follow the course
sequence suggested below (for example, those who are part-time, have transferred
in courses from another school, or have prerequisites to fulfill) should contact
an academic advisor or counselor for help with adjustments.
