2009's Regional Science Olympiad will be held Saturday, February 28th The Region 11 Science Olympiad was held at Lansing Community College on Saturday, February 23, 2008. Regional Science Olympiad (RSO) was held at Lansing Community College on Saturday, February 23, 2008 with 12 high school and 11 middle school teams participating.  RSO is a science competition with 43 events where teams of 15 students compete.  Competitions range from test taking events, involving oceanography and amphibians & reptiles, to events where participants construct robots, towers, or electric vehicles to compete against each other.  Scores are accumulated in all events with the top 3 high school and top 2 middle school teams moving on to state level competition in April.  This year's winners at the middle school level were Mason (1st place) and Holt Jr. High (2nd place); at the high school level, Haslett High School captured the 1st place spot while St. John's High School placed 2nd, and Holt High School placed 3rd. 2008 Event schedule 2008 Results       Congratulations to all students who participated!
