The Business & Community Institute and Healthcare Partnerships

The BCI partners with various healthcare organizations throughout the Tri-County area to offer relevant and effective training. Organizations such as hospitals, associations, private practices, extended care facilities, and billing and coding companies are just a few of the clients that utilize BCI's vast arsenal of Workforce Development programs. One organization that works directly with the BCI is the Capital Healthcare and Employment Council (CHEC) The CHEC and BCI work closely together to bring healthcare organizations the most relevant Workforce Development programs (incumbent worker, scholarships, lay-off aversion, etc).
The BCI provides the programs and curriculum needed for the working
adult to enhance their skill sets and receive training on industry
standards and new healthcare innovations. Some of the many programs
offered by BCI in the healthcare arena are:

* Healthcare Customer Service
* Billing and Coding
* Workflow Process and Redesign
* LEAN Coaching
About the Capital Healthcare and Employment Council
The Capital Healthcare and Employment Council (CHEC) is an employer-led industry association focused on workforce development best practices for the healthcare community. CHEC members convene with the common goal of furthering the capital area as a center of healthcare workforce excellence. CHEC consists of large and small healthcare providers, healthcare educators, associations and other invested stakeholders. Through the strength of the members, CHEC works to strengthen career pipelines, upgrade the skills of the current workforce and identify HR best and promising practices.
CHEC's efforts are guided by Julianne Rose, Director of the Capital Health and Employment Council. Julianne has more than ten years experience in Workforce Development programming. Julianne works closely with CHEC membership to connect them with business resources, design collaborative training programs, special interest workshops and information sharing to address common needs. She is a certified Business Solutions Professional with a degree in public administration and is in process of completing her Masters in Business Administration from the Michigan State University Broad College of Business in 2013.
