History


Inaugurated July 4, 1976, The Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame stands as a tribute to the nation's legacy of athletic achievement in the Mid-Michigan Area.

The first induction ceremonies took place on the campus of Lansing Community College. Ten individuals and three teams were inducted in the bicentennial year with the purpose of giving lasting recognition to their accomplishments.
