Course Testing
Course tests are any tests that come from a class being offered through LCC's main campus. They are midterms, finals, and regularly scheduled tests by instructors. All course tests are divided into three different categories:
Course tests are proctored by the Assessment Center in lieu of an instructor, usually because the instructor does not have any regular face-to-face interaction with the students, as is the case for classes taken online.
These are tests from classes that are taught completely online. There
are over 900 different online instructors and
classes, these
classes can range from Math courses to
Computing. Each test must have
one cover sheet attached that
contain all the pertinent information about the
test that the Assessment Center needs to
administer it:
due date, time limit,
materials allowed and student name.
Please review information for
Testing Support for On-line Learning.
The Assessment Center will proctor exams for hybrid courses, however those exams can only be administered at main campus and will not be mailed to off-campus sites or to learning centers. These test also need to include one coversheet per exam.
Makeup tests are tests from strictly face-to-face courses. Instructors will bring Makeup tests to the Assessment Center for the occasional student who was not able to take the test in class. These also need to have one cover sheet per test and are administered identically to the rest. The maximum number of makeup exams the Assessment Center will proctor is five per section per exam. Please see a manager if you have a special circumstance.
