What To Expect From an Advising Appointment
Among many things, you can expect an Academic Advisor to provide
information regarding academic planning, assist with curriculum
interpretation, and answer transfer questions, including issues
regarding MACRAO and the Integrative Studies Requirement at MSU. An
Academic Advisor will also be able to discuss the components of the
Selective Admissions process with students.
How To Plan For Your Appointment
Please arrive at your academic advising appointment prepared. Spend
some time thinking about what you want out of your appointment. Have
a copy of your curriculum with you and any preparation work you may
have done. If you have credits from another college, bringing a copy
of your transcript would be very effective.
In general, any information pertinent to your academic goals would
help in making your advising experience a positive one.
How To Make an Appointment
