General Admission Application Procedures

Procedures for Completing the Admissions Application

  1. If you have never applied for admission to LCC, or last attended prior to 1994, you must submit an application for admission. Your first step is to register for your Technology User ID (TUID) with Star Port. Click here to register for your TUID.

  2. Once you have registered for Star Port, you can complete your admission application. Go to the LCC home page at www.lcc.edu, and log into your newly created Star Port account. Click the New Students tab, and click on the link in the Apply for Admission section. For complete information on how to apply, read the 8 Steps to Getting Started at LCC (PDF) and the Instructions to Student Admission (PDF) brochures.

  3. International applicants must follow the procedures outlined under International Applicants.

  4. Applicants in high school must follow the procedures outlined under Dual Enrollment Program or Special Admission Program.

  5. Nonpublic home school applicants must follow the procedures outlined under the Nonpublic Home School Program.

  6. Guest students must follow the procedures outlined under Guest and International Guest Applicants.

You may complete a paper copy of the General Admission Application (PDF). If you would like a paper copy of the application mailed to you, call (517) 483-1957. Applicants may fax the completed application form to (517) 483-1170 or bring it to the Enrollment Services Office located in the Gannon Building. The completed application form may be mailed to:

Applicants who are admitted to LCC will receive notification and information regarding registration procedures. Applicants denied admission will receive a letter stating the reason for denial and explaining the appeal process (see Appeal Process for Denial of Admission).
