The Sky is Falling - Meteorology
Instructor: Karen Delaney
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: LCC East
What can the clouds in our sky tell us about atmospheric conditions? What has to happen for a tornado, hurricane or blizzard to form? What is a dew point and what does it tell us? This hands-on class in meteorology will explore different types of cloud formations, types of precipitation, storm types, and characteristics that may lead to natural weather induced catastrophes. Students will have a chance to use weather gauge tools!
